With the North American Basketball League kicking off this last week, the Grand Rapids Danger started by defeating the Dubois Dream 144-115 in a non-conference matchup. The Danger was lead by Jamell Hatchett, who’s fearless showing earned him Danger Player of the Game. Hatchett scored a team-high 35 points. Second on the team in points was veteran power forward Derrick Brooks scoring 27 points coming off the bench.

Both Hatchett and Brooks had help with new additions to the Danger. Aquinas College standout Arsenio Arrington started off the season with 17 points while Trent Hobson from Kalamazoo Valley Community College added 20 more.

The Danger was lead by Julius Francias in the rebound category with 15 rebounds.

The next game for the Grand Rapid Danger will be the Home opener against the Indiana Revolution a non-NABL opponent. This game is scheduled for April 7th at 6pm in the Aldrich Athletic Center at Grace Bible College.
